An approved council-led precinct, City of Hume · Amendment C274

Transport

Freeway, rail and airport within easy reach.

Greenvale is one of the better connected suburbs in Melbourne's north-west, sitting between the Hume Freeway corridor, the Craigieburn rail line and Melbourne Airport.

Rail

Roxburgh Park and Craigieburn stations to the east (Craigieburn line).

The Craigieburn line runs to Southern Cross via Broadmeadows and Essendon, with parking and bus interchange at both stations.

Freeway

Hume Freeway to the east.

The Hume connects south to the Western Ring Road and the M80, giving access to the CBD, the west and the north-east.

Air

Melbourne Airport is roughly 8km south-west of the precinct.

Close airport access suits shift workers, FIFO households and anyone travelling regularly for work.

Future road upgrades

Somerton Road and surrounding arterials are progressively upgraded by the state and council as the northern growth corridor develops.

Intersection, duplication and path works are staged and subject to funding and approvals.
